The challenge
An estate that sells in its shop and online and welcomes guests receives all kinds of questions: is the shop open on Sunday, are there any apricots left, how much is delivery, how can I give a night at the Castel as a gift? They mostly arrive when the team is in the vineyards, in the cellar or on holiday.
A question left unanswered on a Saturday evening is a visit or an order that does not happen.
The solution
The assistant answers from the estate’s website: shop, seasonal products, wines, delivery, guest rooms, gift vouchers and events. It gives prices, opening hours and the right link to order or book.
- Shop opening hours and seasonal products: apricots, asparagus, wines.
- Delivery costs and the free delivery threshold, while the customer is filling their basket.
- Stay packages and gift vouchers, with their prices.
- An answer in French, German or English.
The results
In eight and a half months, 445 conversations took place. We read them all: of 380 genuine requests, 51% were fully resolved by the assistant, and more than a quarter were partly helped.
Eight requests in ten show an intention to buy or book: a visit to the shop, an online order, a night at the Castel, a gift voucher. Almost half arrive in the evening, at night or at the weekend, when nobody can answer the phone.

The return on investment
The time saved matters, but the value lies elsewhere: in the purchases and bookings that happen instead of waiting for an answer.
