Real conversations from 6 May to 24 October 2026: 280 conversations, each read one by one.

The challenge

In a hotel, questions arrive at any hour and in every language: can I arrive late, is there parking, is breakfast included, is there a room left on Saturday? Every call interrupts reception just as it is welcoming a guest.

And a question left unanswered in the evening often means a booking made elsewhere, on a platform that takes its commission.

The solution

The assistant answers on the hotel’s website from its own pages: rooms, rates, restaurant, seminars, directions. It does not book on the hotel’s behalf: it directs the visitor to direct booking, with the link or the right contact.

  • An immediate answer, 24/7, weekends included.
  • French, German or English: every visitor gets the answer in their own language.
  • Every booking request is directed to the hotel’s website, not to a platform.
  • Precise answers: breakfast price, parking, room capacity, restaurant opening hours.

The results

Between May and October 2026, 280 conversations took place, from 18 in May to nearly 60 a month over the summer. We read them all: of 262 genuine requests, 64% were fully resolved by the assistant.

One request in two is about a room. 76 visitors asked for a specific booking, with dates or a number of guests, and 57 of them were directed to direct booking. More than half of these requests arrived outside office hours, 17 of them between 8 pm and 7 am.

More than a third of visitors write in German or English. They get their answer in their own language, without the team having to translate.

The return on investment

For a hotel, the time saved matters less than the bookings that do not go elsewhere. So the calculation works the other way round: how many bookings does it take to pay for the assistant?

Assumption: one night booked direct at CHF 150 or more. The reception time saved comes on top: 168 requests resolved, at 3 to 6 minutes each, or 8 to 17 hours over the period. Bookings actually completed are not measured: the assistant directs visitors to the hotel’s booking engine.
